Intangles Fuel Logs

The Intangles Fuel Logs DocType is used to record fuel-related events for vehicles in a fleet. This includes alerts for unusual fuel consumption, theft, or pilferage detected by the vehicle monitoring system.

Overview

This DocType captures detailed information about fuel activities, such as fuel volume, vehicle location, odometer readings, and timestamps. It helps fleet managers monitor fuel usage, detect anomalies, and take corrective actions efficiently.

Fields Description

  • ID: Unique identifier for each fuel log entry.
  • Vehicle Plate: The registration number of the vehicle.
  • Vehicle ID: Unique system ID for the vehicle.
  • Account ID: Identifier for the account associated with the vehicle.
  • Latitude & Longitude: Geographic coordinates where the fuel event occurred.
  • Address: Location description corresponding to the coordinates.
  • Type: Type of fuel alert, e.g., fuel theft or pilferage.
  • Volume: Amount of fuel involved in the event.
  • Start Level Mileage: Vehicle mileage when the fuel event started.
  • Start & End Odometer: Odometer readings at the beginning and end of the fuel event.
  • Start & End Level: Fuel levels at the start and end of the event.
  • Intangles Timestamp & Epoch: Timestamp of the fuel event in human-readable and epoch formats.
  • Overall Response: Complete data received from Intangles API for reference.

How It Works

  1. The vehicle monitoring system detects fuel-related events, such as theft, unusual consumption, or refueling.
  2. These events are sent to the Intangles platform, which stores and processes the data.
  3. The ERPNext system fetches the data using Intangles API and creates entries in the Intangles Fuel Logs DocType.
  4. Each log contains detailed information including vehicle, location, fuel volume, and timestamps.
  5. If enabled, alerts are automatically sent via email or WhatsApp to notify the concerned fleet managers or customers.

Usage

  • Monitor fuel consumption patterns for all vehicles in the fleet.
  • Detect fuel theft or pilferage events in real-time.
  • Access detailed historical data for analysis and reporting.
  • Automatically notify stakeholders when a fuel alert occurs.

Data Flow

  • Fuel events are generated by vehicles and sent to the Intangles platform.
  • ERPNext fetches these events using scheduled API calls or manual triggers.
  • The system creates or updates Intangles Fuel Logs entries in the database.
  • Email and WhatsApp notifications are sent based on configuration, ensuring that responsible personnel are informed promptly.
