Introduction
The Logistics Tracking feature enables you to monitor vehicles during delivery and trips in real time. Based on the configured logistics settings, it tracks the vehicle's status, route, and key events throughout the journey.
To access Logistics Tracking, navigate to:
Home > Lnder Logistics > Logistics Tracking
Key Features
- Vehicle Tracking: Displays the current location and movement status of the vehicle on the route.
- Pickup and Delivery Details: Shows comprehensive details about pickup and delivery locations, including address lines, latitude, longitude, and expected vs actual times.
- Tracking URL: Provides a unique URL to share live tracking details.
- Status Updates: Automatically updates the vehicle status through phases like Planned, In Transit, At Delivery, Delivered, and Parking.
- Logistics Tracking Log: Maintains a timestamped log of vehicle statuses such as moving, stopped, deviated from route, and delivery events.
- Route Mapping: Visualizes the planned route on a map, along with the vehicle's real-time positions and status markers.
How it Works
The system collects and processes real-time telemetry data from vehicles to determine their current position, speed, and status. It identifies key events such as trip start, stoppages, route deviations, arrival at pickup/delivery locations, and delivery completion.
Vehicle statuses detected include:
- Planned: Trip scheduled but not started.
- In Transit: Vehicle is moving toward the destination.
- At Delivery: Vehicle has reached the delivery geofence.
- Delivered: Delivery has been completed.
- Parking: Vehicle is parked at a recognized parking location.
- Stopped: Vehicle is stopped for longer than the configured stoppage threshold.
- Deviated: Vehicle has moved off the planned route beyond the allowed deviation threshold.
Tracking Log Details
The tracking log records detailed, timestamped snapshots of the vehicle’s status and location. Each log entry may include:
- Timestamp of the event.
- Vehicle speed.
- Latitude and longitude coordinates.
- Status description.
- Associated address or location information.
- Additional tracking metadata (deviation distances, dwell times, etc.).
Using the Route Tracking Interface
Within the Logistics Tracking module, you can:
- View the vehicle’s route on an interactive map, with the planned path and real-time position.
- See markers representing pickup and delivery points.
- Visualize the status of each tracking event using distinct colors and icons for easy identification.
- Open detailed tooltips with event-specific information on clicking map markers.
- Initiate manual updates to the tracking log if required.
Notes
- The tracking URL automatically deactivates after the trip ends or upon expiry configured in Logistics Settings.
- The system automatically detects parking locations based on configured geofences.
- Stoppage and deviation events are logged based on thresholds defined in your Logistics Settings.
- The delivery dwell time is calculated to monitor how long the vehicle remains at the delivery location.
- Route history and status logs assist in detailed post-trip analytics and reporting.
