Pre-Registration Vehicle

The Pre-Registration Vehicle document is used to store all the basic vehicle details before the vehicle is officially registered. It acts as the source of information for Vehicle Insurance and other vehicle-related records.

Key Fields

  • Make – Vehicle brand (e.g., Honda, Tata, Mahindra).
  • Model – Vehicle model name.
  • Customer – Linked to Customer master; identifies the vehicle owner.
  • Engine No – Unique engine number (mandatory).
  • Chassis No – Unique chassis number (mandatory and used as document name).
  • Registered Vehicle No – Number given after the vehicle is registered.
  • Fuel Type – Choose from Petrol, Diesel, Natural Gas, or Electric.
  • Fuel UOM – Unit of Measurement (e.g., Liters, kWh).

Rules & Validations

  • Chassis No is unique – prevents duplicate vehicle entries.
  • Mandatory Fields – Make, Model, Customer, Engine No, Chassis No, Fuel Type, and UOM must be filled in.
  • AutoName Rule – Document is named based on Chassis No.

Purpose

- Stores all vehicle details in one place before registration.
- Acts as the primary source for insurance and service-related documents.
- Ensures every vehicle in the system has a unique identity through Engine No and Chassis No.
