Van Run Summary
Introduction
The Van Run Summary is the central dashboard for monitoring a van trip from start to finish. It is automatically created when a "Van Trip Roster Assignment" is submitted, and it collects all the important data about the trip as it happens.
Purpose
This document provides a complete, real-time overview of a van's journey. It tracks the route, timings, delays, expenses (like fuel and tolls), and driving behavior, making it essential for operational monitoring and post-trip analysis.
How to Use Van Run Summary
- Access the Document: The Van Run Summary is automatically created and linked once a "Van Trip Roster Assignment" is submitted. You can access it from there.
- View the Trip on a Map: Click the Show Map button to see a visual representation of the trip. The map will display the planned route in red and the van's actual path in blue, helping you spot any deviations.
- Update Trip Data: After the trip has started, click the Fetch Run Data button to get the latest information from the vehicle's tracking device. This updates details like the van's current location, actual arrival times at stops, fuel consumption, and distance traveled.
Key Buttons and Their Functions
- Show Map: Opens an interactive map to visualize the planned route versus the van's actual journey.
- Fetch Run Data: Manually triggers an update to refresh all the trip data, such as location, timings, and mileage.
